I'm not so sure it's much news - maybe more like checking in - but I felt like I needed to as I haven't been very consistent about posting here on the blog for a long while. Our family experienced many changes and adjustments over the past year and a half as we welcomed our sweet baby, Hazel (pictured), to our family, we relocated from Seattle to Austin, moved twice in 8 months time, and are finally starting to feel more settled in our new home and community. Whew!
More changes are a-coming...and one that I hope to work on in the new year is updating this blog and my website, and being a little more consistent with my posts. I may also invite y'all to share in some of the adventures I have with my children and family as we discover wonderful new places in our new location. Tidbits of life, perhaps, mixed in with sessions. A fun idea, right? For now, though, simply enjoy the sweet face of my littlest adventurer - this was taken a couple of weeks ago when we were hiking through a lablolly pine forest near Bastrop, TX. I always say, adventure is good for the soul - because - it IS. So Good. More to come...stay tuned for more sharing of adventures and photography sessions in the coming year :)

A couple of weeks back, I had the pleasure of photographing and attending the wedding of a dear friend. The gorgeous greenery of Seattle's Washington Park Arboretum was the backdrop for their special day, and it was gorgeous! Having moved to Texas last year, it was a special treat to be back in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy the true gem that it is, especially on such a happy occasion. Gail and Imo, your day was lovely, and I wish you all the best, always!

My daughter, Hazel, turned one a couple of weeks ago. It seems like yesterday she was a tiny newborn! We had a wonderful day celebrating with her - I made her a carousel cake and then we took her on her first carousel ride!
She started walking well before her first birthday - and was so excited to explore the little amusement park with her big brother and sister!
We went to a local old school amusement park in Austin, called Kiddie Acres. It was just perfect for little ones! Our kids were in HEAVEN!
Happy First Birthday, Hazel Grace!
